Redrawn from lace samples from an old lace dealer's pattern book, the 18 patterns were carefully diagrammed and made as new samples by 11 members of the Ottawa Guild of Lacemakers. As a body of work, this collection is impressive both in its undertaking, and as an interesting lace resource in hand. The Torchon and Bedfordshire patterns for insertions and edgings, including 'before' and 'after' photos of each lace, are sure to inspire.
